Service Technician

Omni Electric LLC was started in 1997 by Greg Sottong. Greg started Omni to bring superior service to the commercial and industrial building sectors that were otherwise being underserved. The Service Technician role at Omni Electric is an integral part of retaining our clients for the long-term. This role performs service installations, alterations, additions, and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment within the commercial, agricultural, and industrial industries.

The ideal candidate for this role will be able to: 

  • Communicate effectively with the client regarding work required and the necessary troubleshooting steps already performed

  • Demonstrate safe work habits while performing all electrical service tasks/projects with limited supervision

  • Have the ability to read and accurately interpret electrical construction drawings, terminate cables, install, and troubleshoot control wiring from schematics

  • Maintain proper care of tools, equipment, and vehicles

  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for the client to resume operations in that area

The ideal candidate possesses the following experience, licensing, or education:

  • Have a journeyman license in states and locales where required

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license

  • Deemed insurable by our company’s insurance

  • High school graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience

  • Completion of an approved apprenticeship program or a minimum of five years of equivalent electrician experience

This position is a full-time position (Monday - Friday) and is an hourly position with full benefits: health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
